Search and rescue
The gutted and abandoned Storke Building, former home of the Stanford Daily, served as the site of a search-and-rescue exercise for Stanford Community Emergency Team on Jan. 30. A similar exercise took place that afternoon at Vaden Health Center, where doctors and nurses practiced performing triage on mock victims. The field exercises were part of the university’s biennial emergency response drill, which involves personnel across campus. The next one is tomorrow.
