Staff who manage property encouraged to attend event

Staff involved in the physical or financial aspects of property management are encouraged to attend a biennial university property management conference Dec. 6-7 at the Arrillaga Alumni Center. A full day of activities is scheduled both days, with breakfast at 7 a.m. and workshops from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sessions will focus on negotiating strategies for property personnel, preparing for natural disasters, technology, and grants and contracts. Lunch also will be provided. There are approximately 400 employees across campus involved in matters that will be addressed at the conference, according to the Property Management Office.

This is the fifth property management conference sponsored by the office. The cost to attend is $295, and STAP funds may be used. Registration forms are available online at http://www.premiermeetings.net/.

Those using STAP funds should print the form, fill it out—including employee ID number and supervisor approval—and fax it to Pauline Szeto in the Property Management Office at 725-7870.
