Continuing ed classes for health professionals
The Continuing Studies program is offering two medical-oriented classes this spring: "Beginning Spanish II for health professionals" and "Writing the biomedical manuscript: Communicating clearly and effectively."
The Spanish course is designed for health professionals with a basic knowledge of the language and is intended to help health-care professionals review and improve language skills needed in individual interactions. The writing class helps researchers develop a systematic approach to writing and teaches how to strike a balance between being comprehensive and being clear.
The classes begin April 3. Medical school employees get a 20 percent discount on all classes, and most university employees have STAP funds to cover the cost of an entire class. For more information, visit http://www.continuingstudies.stanford.edu/.
