Faculty Senate to hear report on admissions, financial aid
The Faculty Senate will convene Thursday for its first meeting of the spring quarter.
The senate will hear a report from Rick Shaw, dean of admission and financial aid. The senate will then adjourn early for the annual meeting of the Academic Council at 4:30 p.m. in Cubberley Auditorium for a presentation from President John Hennessy titled "A Cultured and Useful Citizenry: The Role of Creativity and the Arts in a 21st-Century Education."
The senate will meet at 3:15 p.m. in Room 180 at the School of Law. Discussion is limited to members of the senate, but members of the Stanford community may request to attend the meeting by contacting the Academic Secretary's Office at 723-4992 or delpozzo@stanford.edu.
