Three campus Advent and Christmas traditions are returning to in-person gatherings at Memorial Church in December, with free tickets required for those planning to attend.
The Festival of Lessons and Carols on Dec. 3 & 4, the Annual Holiday Organ Recital on Dec. 12 and Christmas Eve services at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. will all return live and in person to Memorial Church this year.
“Celebrating the Advent and Christmas season is an important tradition on campus for many students, staff and faculty and for neighbors from local communities,” said the Rev. Dr. Tiffany Steinwert, dean for religious and spiritual life. “We are thrilled they will be able to gather in person once again. While we have not ticketed the events in the past, this year, advance registration will enable us to return as safely as possible.”
The free tickets are available in advance and at the door, as capacity allows. Documentation of full-vaccination status or a negative COVID test within 72 hours of each event will be required for entry. Stanford affiliates will be able to show their Health Check green badges.
