Meet Christian Sanchez

The father of five overcame many obstacles on his path to Stanford, including surviving a life-threatening car crash. He graduates in June with a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in education. “A lot of people ask how I do it,” he says. “It’s a day-by-day kind of thing.”

Cardinal Nights presents

Stanford’s program for substance-free socializing celebrated more than a dozen years this spring, with expanded offerings including late-night events and venues on and off campus. On average, more than 800 students attend Cardinal Nights events each month. “We’ve continued to look for opportunities that bring students joy, belonging, and a chance for them to get to know the Bay Area,” says Snehal Naik, senior director of student engagement. “We want students to embrace the social opportunities and traditions that help create lifelong friendships.”
