Luthy appointed to NSF environmental advisory committee

Richard G. Luthy, the Silas H. Palmer Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, has been appointed to the first NSF Advisory Committee for Environmental Research and Education. This advisory committee, cutting across the organizational structure, is the first topical committee ever at the National Science Foundation. The new committee will provide oversight concerning support for NSF's environmental research and education portfolio, overall program balance and consideration of interdisciplinary environmental activities.
