"Making Decisions About Land Use in Silicon Valley: What Costs? Who Pays?" is the subject of a panel discussion to be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, in the Donald Kennedy Room of the Haas Center for Public Service. Sponsored by the Stanford in Silicon Valley Project, the discussion will focus on the complex political, legal, fiscal and social issues involved in making decisions about land use. Panelists will include Lenny Goldberg of the California Tax Reform Association, Carl Guardino of the Silicon Valley Manufacturing Group and representatives from community organizations. Luis Fraga, associate professor of political science, will moderate the discussion.
