Mommsen honored for research on Goethe

Katharina Mommsen, the Albert Guerard Professor Emerita of Literature, received the Goldene Goethe-Medaille for her contributions to research on Goethe. Mommsen is the first American woman to receive the honor from the International Goethe Society. She delivered the keynote address at the society's celebration in Weimar of the 250th birthday of the German writer.
