Live satellite broadcast series on research administration

On Jan. 25, the Office of Research Administration will kick off the first session of a satellite broadcast series on subjects popular with the research community.

The three-part cycle of four-hour workshops, to be presented by the National Council of University Research Administrators, will be interactive and will include telephone contact with session leaders.

The classes will meet from 8 a.m. to noon in Munzer Auditorium at the Medical School. The topic for the Jan. 25 session is "The Ins and Outs of Contract Language:" On March 7, the discussion will be on "Indirect Costs for the Lay Audience," and on May 18, "Hot Topics: The Best of the Best," will be based on questions sent to the NCURA web site.

Continuing education units are available for each session. The registration fee is $35 per session or $100 for the series. Payment can be made with STAP funds. Pre-registration is required.
