Talk on 'Venture Philanthropy in the New Economy'

Catherine S. Muther, founder and president of the Three Guineas Fund in San Francisco, will discuss "Venture Philanthropy in the New Economy: Women's Technology Cluster" at 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, at the Faculty Club. She will explore the influence of new economy business practices on philanthropy, using the Women's Technology Cluster as a case study to illustrate models and approaches in venture philanthropy. The lecture will be preceded by breakfast at 7:15 a.m. The event is sponsored by the Institute for Research on Women and Gender and the Business School's Sloan Program. Registration fee is $15.
