Chaplaincy benefit concert set: 5/20/98

Chaplaincy benefit concert set for June 4

THE FOURTH ANNUAL BENEFIT concert for the Stanford Chaplaincy Service will be held Thursday, June 4, at 8 p.m. in Stanford Memorial Church.

The concert will feature both classical and contemporary music including performances by Robert Bates, organist at Memorial Church; the Stanford Chamber Chorale; and Nota Bene, an ensemble of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus.

The suggested donation for the concert is $20 ($10 for students and seniors). Proceeds will support three programs: the year-long chaplaincy residency, which provides spiritual care for patients and families at Stanford Hospital; Interfaith Partners in Caring, which trains and provides volunteer caregivers for individuals coping with chronic illness; and the chaplaincy's 24-hour on-call coverage.
