The early morning hours brought two rounds of exciting news from Stockholm this week. On Monday, Thomas Südhof won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, and on Wednesday, Michael Levitt was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. The two, both professors in the School of Medicine, were lauded by their friends and colleagues as generous and collaborative researchers who find joy in the process of discovery. Levitt's reaction: "I just hope that I can continue to do science the way I've always done it."
