Stanford Live and Stanford Athletics announced today that the K-pop group BTS will perform three shows at Stanford Stadium on May 16, 17, and 19. The performances, part of the BTS World Tour ‘Arirang’ that marks the group’s long-awaited return to the stage, will feature a 360-degree stage designed to create an immersive experience for the audience.

The shows underscore Stanford’s commitment to creating engagement opportunities for students and the surrounding community through performing arts programming, said Deborah Cullinan, Stanford’s vice president for the arts.

“Presenting these artists allows us to engage with global perspectives and voices shaping contemporary culture,” Cullinan said. “It is a powerful opportunity to bring students, artists, and the broader community together through shared cultural experiences rooted in Stanford’s values of openness, creativity, and connection.”

In addition to being the home of Cardinal football and the university’s annual Commencement ceremony in June, Stanford Stadium is a versatile venue with a rich history that includes the 1985 Super Bowl and two sold-out performances by Coldplay in 2025.

“We are thrilled for the opportunity to once again showcase Stanford Stadium as a destination for world-class entertainment,” said John Donahoe, Stanford’s Jaquish & Kenninger Director and Chair of Athletics. “Building off the momentum from last year’s highly successful Coldplay concerts, we are extremely proud to welcome BTS to our signature venue and provide another unique experience for the Stanford community.”
