Faculty members, including core curriculum lecturers and professors from the Department of Computer Science, participated in the escape room.
Around 120 groups, totaling approximately 600 to 750 participants, explored the escape room.
News of the escape room spread across campus, leading to a waiting list of 295 people.
Puzzles in the room were crafted using tools from Stanford Electrical Engineering-run makerspace Lab64.
As interest grew, the room caught the attention of Mark Rober, inventor, former NASA engineer, and host of the popular YouTube channel CrunchLabs.
