Students gathered at The Lodge, a new shared, dynamic space for the Greek community at Stanford, during an open house on Friday. The space will serve as a welcoming, flexible space for Greek organizations that do not have a designated house.

The Lodge space will be open to Greek organizations for chapter meetings and social gatherings, including fundraising events, alumni talks, or study halls. Students interested in reserving the space should reach out to the Fraternity and Sorority Life Office.

Tresidder Suite 4 is the central office of the Vice Provost for Student Affairs on the second floor of Tresidder. It has been reimagined to serve as a drop-in space during daytime hours (7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and a late-night hangout space (open until 2 a.m.) for social gatherings, game nights, talks, and events. Student groups are able to reserve the space, which includes a kitchen, seating, and large tables, beginning today.

The Suite 4 space opens up to a large outdoor patio, furnished with tables and umbrellas, creating an “indoor-outdoor” environment.

In addition to the spaces featured at Friday’s open house, students will also have access this academic year to the ASSU Courtyard, an outdoor space directly outside the ASSU office in Old Union. Tables, chairs, and canopies are available for use in the space at no cost to student groups and are reservable through the ASSU website.

Friday’s open house gave students a chance to preview the spaces and included free drinks from On Call Cafe.

Attendees at Friday’s event danced, while the Dean of Students office held a raffle for attendees who visited the Tresidder space.
