President John Hennessy has announced the appointment of the search committee to fill the post of vice president for Human Resources, a vacancy that will be created with the departure of current Vice President David Jones in July.
The committee is now seeking nominations for the position, which is responsible for overseeing the eight departments that provide key support and employment services to Stanford faculty, staff, retirees, student employees and postdoctoral students.
The committee is chaired by Debra Zumwalt, vice president and general counsel. Committee members are Scott Calvert, senior associate dean for administration in the School of Engineering; Shirley Everett, senior associate vice provost of Residential and Dining Enterprises; Bob Reidy, vice president for Land, Buildings and Real Estate; and Christine Yam, human resources manager in the Office of the President and Provost.
Jones announced earlier this month that he will be departing for a new executive role at Kaiser Permanente after eight years at Stanford, including four years serving as vice president.
