The Windhover Contemplative Center is designed to allow visitors to choose how they want to engage with the space, whether through formal meditation, reflection on the center’s art, or simply sitting in a quiet space.
At a recently held reopening ceremony, leaders from several faiths came together to reflect on the importance of spaces like the center.
The ceremony also included readings, a singing bowl, and a brief meditation.
Several community members joined to celebrate the reopening of the space.
Restoration of the building and cleaning of some of the art displayed there will continue.
The center provides an environment for quiet reflection throughout the day for Stanford students, faculty, and staff.
Located at 370 Santa Teresa St., the center is open to all staff, faculty, and students with a Stanford ID.
