Staff turned out at Steuber Rugby Stadium for Stanford’s annual celebration of wellness and community, featuring a dance-off, donation drive, lawn games, and more.
This year’s walk started and ended at Steuber Rugby Stadium. The one-mile course took walkers around Stanford Stadium.
Over the years, Cardinal Walk has grown to include performances, interactive booths, and friendly competitions.
Therapy dogs were on hand this year to offer tail wags and receive pets.

The annual event is hosted by BeWell in partnership with Athletics, Physical Education, and Recreation and Wellness.
Lawn games included cornhole and Jenga.
Athletics staff showed their Cardinal spirit.
A dance-off competition invited participants to the stage for 30-second battles against other contestants. Crowd applause determined the winners, who received Athletics swag.
Recreation and Wellness sponsored dance and fitness demos, including a seated version.
To take advantage of milder weather, this year’s event was held in May rather than late summer.
Many of this year’s walkers sported shirts from past years’ events.
Cardinal Walk began in 2007 to encourage Stanford staff to take an active break outside together during the workday and has become an occasion for team bonding, connection across departments, and celebrating wellness.
It has become a tradition for teams across campus to coordinate outfits for the event.
Walkers enjoyed shaved ice at the end of the course.
