The email will continue to include the same key content as in the past – news, announcements and features of interest to the Stanford community – plus a few new features such as interesting quotes from our faculty in local and national media, social media posts and an enhanced events section.

But there’s more. Along with the new design, we will now be able to deliver tailored versions of Stanford Report, with one version for our internal audiences of faculty, staff, administrators and trustees and another for members of our greater Stanford community including parents, current and prospective students and others external to the university who are interested in the discoveries made here. An edition of Stanford Report designed specifically for students will launch shortly.

In addition, to better integrate the morning email with the website designed as the university’s comprehensive source for internal news and information, the site that originally launched as Stanford Today will now be known as Stanford Report. The morning Stanford Report email will draw from the latest stories and announcements published on the site, which is packed with feature stories, campus news, research breakthroughs, messages from leaderships, upcoming events and more. While the email will offer highlights of the website’s content, regular visits to the site itself will provide the most comprehensive view of campus news.

Our goal for both the email and the website is to deliver the news and information every member of the campus community needs to thrive at Stanford. The refreshed Stanford Report email and website is part of a continuing effort to meet the needs of our audiences with more updates and refinements in the weeks and months ahead. We welcome your feedback. Please send your comments and suggestions to us at news-service@stanford.edu.
