Dear Stanford Undergrads:
Recently students have provided valuable feedback to the university on ways that we can improve communication. As a first step to draw upon this feedback, we are pleased to introduce you to this new, weekly student e-newsletter.
Many of you have told us that you’d like to receive more news that affects you, more information on events and deadlines, and more of a window into how decisions are made at Stanford. This newsletter aims to address each of these suggestions and more.
We will also share news about the inspiring work you and your fellow students are doing via profiles and multimedia features.
As we anticipate this newsletter will continue to be a collaborative effort with you, please help us at the outset by giving it a fitting and creative name. We also invite you to share ongoing feedback about the news that comes your way, the way we are portraying it and what you would like Stanford to feature in the future. Please e-mail student-news@stanford.edu with your thoughts.
We hope you enjoy this debut issue and that, over time, it will provide a deeper view into our dynamic and multifaceted community.
Warmest regards,
Harry Elam
