Welcome to the first edition of @Stanford – a weekly e-newsletter for students and postdocs. As the editor, I’m glad you’re here and hope you’ll find the content relevant, informative and sometimes entertaining. Since this newsletter is for you, I’d like your help renaming it.

The creators of this publication aren’t satisfied with @Stanford and have decided to hold a contest to net some original suggestions for a new name. If you have a better one in mind, send it my way. A panel of judges will vote on the best title and the contestant with the winning submission will receive a $150 gift card to the Stanford Bookstore.

Here are some general guidelines for submissions: We’re looking for something short, creative and original that captures the essence of Stanford. Send me an email with your full name and your idea. Also, let me know if you’re an undergrad, coterm, graduate student or postdoc. Be sure to write “TITLE SUBMISSION” in the subject of your email and send it to student-news@stanford.edu.

The deadline for submissions is April 30 at 11:59 p.m.
