Wear your helmet and win!
What is NERD Nation without intact brains? Show the Stanford community that you keep yours safe by wearing your bike helmet and you could win a Starbucks gift card.
Bike safety is no joke. Stanford has seen its share of bike accidents that have left riders with serious injuries. In an effort to encourage students and postdocs to be safe and to destigmatize helmets, The Roundabout is raffling off gift cards to Starbucks. Here’s how the raffle works:
- Take a photo of yourself on your bike (or scooter or skateboard) and wearing your helmet.
- Email your photo to student-news@stanford.edu no later than Monday, Nov. 18, at 11:59 p.m. In your email, please tell us your class year and major, and write “HELMET” in the subject line.
- All current Stanford students and postdocs who send in a photo will be entered into a drawing to receive one of 15 $20 gift cards to Starbucks.
- We’ll announce the winners by publishing their photos in The Roundabout on Thursday, Nov. 21.
