Harassing and threatening emails

Dear Stanford community,

Over the weekend, a number of Jewish members of our community received threatening and harassing emails from an anonymous external email address. Stanford takes these emails very seriously and is working with the FBI and other law enforcement agencies on this matter.

The university strongly condemns the targeting of our Jewish community in this manner. The security and well-being of our campus is our top priority, and we are following up with the affected individuals to provide all necessary support. In addition, we have increased the presence of security and safety patrols on campus.

If you have received a harassing or threatening email or have information related to this matter, please reach out to Stanford’s Department of Public Safety at 650-329-2413, and also report the matter to the Title VI Office at titlevi.stanford.edu.
