Resources for students during winter closure

Here’s a quick reference for students who need a hand when most university offices are closed from December 21 to January 3.

Need help during the winter break? Stanford University will be closed for regular business from Wednesday, December 21, through Tuesday, January 3. If you are in crisis and need immediate assistance, a good place to start is the Resident Director on call (undergraduates) or Graduate Life Office dean on call (for graduate and professional students).

A Resident Director on-call is available 24/7 to help undergraduates who need immediate assistance and can be reached at (650) 504-8022.

A Graduate Life Office dean on-call is available to help graduate and professional students 24/7. If you are in a crisis and need immediate assistance that cannot wait until winter quarter begins, you can page the GLO Dean on call by following the instructions below.  If you can wait, please email us and a GLO Dean will get back to you when winter quarter begins.

  • Text the GLO pager at 25085@pageme.stanford.edu. Include your name, your return phone number, and reason for paging in the message. Please note, this is not an email address and the number of characters we can view are limited. We will call you back for the details.
  • Call the GLO pager at (650) 723-7288. You will reach a Stanford operator. Provide pager ID #25085 and indicate that you need to reach the graduate dean on-call.

The Vaden Health Services building will be open with some services offered as specified here. Additionally, the following health resources are always available to students:
