Congratulations to the Class of 2021 and best wishes to all
In a message to undergraduates, Vice Provost for Student Affairs Susie Brubaker-Cole joins students and staff to celebrate spring and summer, and discuss fall plans.
Who is ready for summer? Everyone, right? I am connecting with you today to share one last campus tour with our family dog, Riva. We visit the Arbor, the dorms, and Old Union, and meet up with lots of students and colleagues along the way, so many that we ended up with two short videos!
I ask everyone we meet what they’re looking forward to this fall, when we can be back together again. People mention many great resources, so I’m sharing the links below. My apologies if you can’t quite hear us at times. We filmed this on a super windy day here in the Bay Area. Thank you for leaning in to listen or following along with the subtitles.
I’d also like to say congratulations to the Class of 2021! You will always have a special place in my heart because you were frosh when I was in my first year as vice provost for student affairs or you arrived as transfers during my first few years here. We’ve been through so much together. Thank you for all your wisdom, patience and laughter. You have already made the world a better place.
To our current frosh, sophomores and everyone who will be here this summer: we are looking forward to seeing you! And to all who will be joining us next year, there is nothing like Stanford in any season: the sun, the trees, and the joy of finding new friends, and reconnecting with old ones. Please feel free to come up and introduce yourself to Riva and me if you see us!
