Katie Couric will moderate 2013 Roundtable on happiness
The 2013 ROUNDTABLE AT STANFORD, which will be held Friday, Oct. 18, in Maples Pavilion during Reunion Homecoming, will feature journalist, author and talk show host KATIE COURIC as moderator.
The subject for this year’s Roundtable is happiness. Here is a description from the Roundtable website:
“The science of happiness is a growing and intriguing field. Research about what truly makes people happy is not only surprising, but applicable no matter how much money we make or where we live.
“Join moderator Katie Couric for an enlightening and inspiring Roundtable bringing together experts in psychology, business, neuroscience, history, mindfulness and compassion for a discussion about the happiness and sense of well-being that elude so many, but are sought by all.”
The Roundtable at Stanford has been held since 2006. Past Roundtable panelists have discussed brain research, K-12 education, longevity, the economy, leadership, energy and the environment, and international threats.
Couric is currently the host of a syndicated talk show produced by Disney-ABC. Previously, she was anchor of the CBS Evening News, co-host of NBC’s Today and a reporter for 60 Minutes.
