CNN correspondent to join Confronting Katrina panel
Suzanne Malveaux, White House correspondent for CNN, will join scholars from Stanford and Harvard for the final presentation of the course Confronting Katrina: Race, Class and Disaster in American Society, from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, in Kresge Auditorium. Taught by faculty of the Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity and others, the class is open to the public free of charge.
Malveaux will be joined by Lucius Barker, professor emeritus of political science, and Michele Landis Dauber, associate professor of law, of Stanford; and David Ellwood, professor of political economy and dean of John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Provost John Etchemendy also will participate in the event, titled "Lessons from Katrina."
