Find a buddy to support you through the academic quarter

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is launching an accountability partnership program for undergraduate, graduate and professional students. The program will connect students with similar academic goals so you can support one another throughout the quarter – a highly effective strategy for setting goals and maintaining motivation.

Two CTL peer learning consultants, who are also computer science Ph.D. students, developed an algorithm to match students based on factors such as courses, academic year and preferred meeting times. Students who are interested in finding an accountability partner will be asked to submit a matching survey. Once matched, students will be notified through their Stanford email and invited to contact each other. Accountability partners agree to work together, hold each other accountable for their academic goals, and provide feedback on a regular basis.

Undergraduate and graduate students have separate surveys.

The undergrad matching survey is open through January 27, 2021. Graduate and professional students can sign up February 1 to February 8, 2021. Students who participate have a chance to win an Amazon gift card. Learn more and sign up at accountability.stanford.edu
