Let’s talk about long-range planning at Stanford

Long-ranging planning eventPresident MARC TESSIER-LAVIGNE and PROVOST PERSIS DRELL are inviting all members of the Stanford community to join them this Friday, April 21, at noon in Cubberley Auditorium to talk about long-range planning.

In a letter to undergraduates, graduate students and post-doctoral students sent this week, the provost called the university’s ongoing long-range planning process “a chance for everyone in our campus community to have a voice in shaping how Stanford will evolve over the next two decades—in research, in teaching, in campus life and in contributions beyond the campus.”

Learn more about the long-range planning process through this Stanford Report article. Also, visit the web page called “The Purposeful University.”

Phase one of the planning process, which will extend through June, calls for submission of ideas and proposals through the main website. Members of the Long-Range Planning (LPR) team are available to provide advice and resources to help members of the community submit ideas or design proposals. Members of the community with questions are encouraged to contact MARITA DE GUZMAN, LRP project manager at Stanford_planning@stanford.edu.
