Stanford 125 website recognized for excellence
Stanford’s 125.STANFORD.EDU website received a 2017 Gold Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s (CASE) Far West District. The anniversary website was created to help celebrate the 125th anniversary during the 2015-16 year of the university’s opening. The website highlighted Stanford historical themes dating back to the university’s founding, including a commitment to public service, affordability, diversity and academic excellence.
A series of 125 wide-ranging stories took a closer look across campus at the people, resources and experiences that make Stanford distinctive. Visitors to the website also could explore “Then and Now” photographs; a 125-year timeline of Stanford milestones; video from the Stanford Story Dome; memories from alumni, staff and the community; and talks from the anniversary symposia “Thinking Big About Learning” and “Celebrating Founders.”
