Brickelle Bro heads to Rio Paralympics
Rising sophomore BRICKELLE BRO will represent Team USA in her second Paralympics Games in Rio de Janiero. The Paralympic Games run Sept. 7 to 18, and Bro’s first event is today, Sept. 8. The Stanford swimmer will compete in the 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter freestyle and the 100-meter butterfly.
In London in 2012, Bro finished fifth in the 400-meter freestyle. In her first year at Stanford, at the Pac-12 Championships, she broke the 1,650-yard freestyle record (19:56:87). The Stanford Daily featured a story last May.
