Stanford-trained teacher finds it hard to make ends meet in the Bay Area

JOSE ROSARIO, a graduate of the Stanford Teacher Education Program,  loves his job as a high school English teacher, but it does not love him back. In this 2016 talk at TEDxStanford,  Rosario told the audience that he finds himself at a crossroads between making a difference and making ends meet in the Bay Area, where rent or a mortgage consume 50 to 70 percent of a teacher’s salary.
