Stanford community weathers big storm
Members of the Stanford community braved the elements to get to and across campus Thursday as the first big storm of the season hit the Bay Area. Stanford maintenance crews got out early to rapidly identify and clear areas of water accumulation. Residential and Dining Enterprises worked with PG&E to restore power at a few residences on the Row that experienced outages. The Registrar’s Office kept tabs on classrooms, relocating exams as needed and posting a log of the changes. As mid-afternoon approached, Stanford and City of Palo Alto officials encouraged commuters to use caution in heading home. The city posted an interactive map to help travelers plan their commutes.
