Kathryn “Kam” Moler has been named transition dean of the new school focused on climate and sustainability, and Stephan Graham will be transition vice dean. Tim Stearns and David Studdert will be filling in for Moler as acting dean of research and acting vice provost.
Faculty Senate takes on climate of personal attacks over ideas
During its last meeting of the 2021 fall quarter Thursday, the Faculty Senate heard a report and recommendations from the Planning and Policy Board Subcommittee on Campus Climate as well as an update on the new school focused on climate and sustainability.
Report to Faculty Senate discusses Stanford vision
President Marc Tessier-Lavigne discussed the Stanford Vision while Vice President for Development Jon Denney detailed fundraising to support the vision during a report to the Faculty Senate on Thursday. The meeting also included a presentation about the Global Engagement Review Program.
Academic structure announced for new school focused on climate and sustainability
The new school will include transitional academic divisions, university-wide cross-cutting themes organized into institutes and an accelerator focused on solutions. Stanford is now launching the search for a dean to lead the new school.
