Prepare for finals with the Stanford Learning Lab

As the end of fall quarter approaches, the Stanford Learning Lab team has resources to help you with time management and more.

Happy November! With the end of the Fall Quarter merely a month away, the Stanford Learning Lab team would like to know: Have you planned accordingly? And, what did you do with the extra hour due to Daylight Savings?

We know that the countdown is on, and we are here with the latest research practices at the ready, to assist undergraduates and graduate students in meeting the challenges they face with time management and prioritization during this hectic season. We have a few ideas on how to use the additional hour in the morning to meet your time-management needs. While our group specializes in working with students with learning differences, we are eager to help anyone struggling to organize and balance their academic, work, and life goals and other commitments. Our 45-minute Drop-In sessions are the perfect opportunity to prepare for finals, task analyze long-term projects and papers, or any other academic or personal goal one might have.

In addition, for those students who wish to understand their own behaviors related to learning, Dr. Mitch Dandignac will host two remaining sessions of his Cognitive Workshop Series: “Building & Breaking Habits” (Nov. 14, 5-6:30 p.m.) and “Overcoming Procrastination” (Dec. 5 5-6:30 p.m.).

Finally, if you are searching for a sense of community and connection with others, we are here to provide that too! We honor that the month of November provides so many moments to offer gratitude and celebrate our time together, and we recognize, too, that taking time for these moments is so essential to our self-care.  We do hope that you will consider registering in one of our student groups, which offer a myriad of opportunities to connect with others based on shared goals and interests. Please check out the following: ADHD Connections, Fail Better, Focus Fridays, GUTSPENPower Hour, and/or  Revise and Resubmit.

We know this month is chaotic, but we are here for you!
