Get ready for a new Axess experience beginning Tuesday, Aug. 9. Next week’s updates will improve how Axess looks and works overall, while still maintaining the tools and features Stanford students, like you, rely on.

Get ready for a new Axess experience beginning Tuesday, Aug. 9. Next week’s updates will improve how Axess looks and works overall, while still maintaining the tools and features Stanford students, like you, rely on.

Axess will be down for maintenance between 5 p.m. Friday evening, Aug. 5, and 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, Aug. 9, to implement the updates.

The result? An Axess experience that is more modern, responsive, and intuitive. And it’s thanks to students like you, who provided input on how to improve Axess during the early stages of the Axess Refresh project.

What can students expect?

You’ll find improved navigation, more personalized content and features, and enhanced page layouts as part of the coming Axess Refresh updates.

Specific improvements you’ll experience include:

  • A new global search tool, available at the top of every page
  • Improved navigation menus, with more intuitive options, submenus, and Quick Links
  • Personal saved links that you can add, remove, and reorder
  • Improved mobile responsiveness

Plus, for students who have more than one type of role at Stanford (such as also being a Stanford employee), you’ll be able to toggle among your roles and choose a default role for your Axess experience.

These updates will make Axess more user-friendly and more adaptable for the future.

You won’t need to prepare or do anything extra to enjoy the new Axess; simply log in on August 9 and explore for yourself.
