Faculty conduct collaborative research to accelerate health solutions

A new Leaves-in-Service program offered by Stanford Impact Labs and the Haas Center for Public Service supports faculty to pursue in-depth, hands-on learning within public service organizations.

Recipients will study existing approaches to address social issues, with the goal of generating new research insights and applications that advance both the work of the nonprofit or government agency and the faculty member’s own research.

Three faculty have been chosen to pursue leaves in 2020-21, with timing and activities dependent on COVID-related restrictions:
• Henry C. Lee (Pediatrics)
• Latha Palaniappan (Medicine)
Teresa LaFromboise (Education)

Each of these faculty members will help advance research-based approaches to scaling healthcare delivery for people who have been historically marginalized. Applications for the 2021-22 program are now available here.
