New trustee elected

The Stanford Board of Trustees on April 7 elected Susan Packard Orr as a new trustee for a five-year term.

Orr holds two Stanford degrees: A.B. '68 in economics and MBA '70. She is president and owner of Technology Resource Assistance Center in Palo Alto and president and trustee of the David and Lucile Packard Foundation in Los Altos.

She also is a trustee of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Foundation and Research Institute; vice president and treasurer of the Packard Humanities Institute; and a director of the Hewlett-Packard Company.
