Registration for Continuing Studies Program starts March 5

Spring quarter registration for Continuing Studies Program courses begins at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 5.

Those planning to register for any of the 65 courses ­ the largest selection of courses, workshops and seminars in the 10-year history of the program ­ can do so in person at Building 590, by the 24-hour automated phone system at 725-5503, by fax or by mail.

A few of the 65 course titles include: The Art of Renaissance Florence; Personal Financial Planning; Mapping and Wrapping the Body: Why People Wear What They Wear; Eleanor Roosevelt; Words and Word Use in English; Moby Dick; The Music of J. S. Bach; and Stress Reduction: Theory and Practice.

Stanford faculty and staff are eligible to receive up to $200 in STAP funds for Continuing Studies courses. In addition to the employee discount, employee spouses/domestic partners and Stanford students and their spouses/domestic partners receive a 20 percent tuition discount.

The Continuing Studies Program offers five and 10-week courses, one-day workshops and seminars, as well as travel programs to adult members of surrounding Bay Area communities. Tuition is $145 or $155 per unit. Classes start March 30.
