Students from Britain and Bay Area will debate merits of banning the bomb

Students from four universities will hold a free, public debate on the merits of "banning the bomb" at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, at Stanford University in the Oak Room of Tresidder Union.

The debate on the resolution "Be it resolved, the Bomb should be Banned" pits student representatives from Oxford University and Cambridge University against student representatives from Stanford and the University of California-Berkeley.

The event, co-sponsored by Stanford's Office of Student Activities, is part of "Britain Meets the Bay," a 100-day festival that began on March 23 to celebrate Great Britain's ties to the Bay Area.
