Man arrested for indecent exposure

STANFORD -- Stanford police arrested a Palo Alto man Saturday, Nov. 11, after a woman reported that he had exposed his genitals to her in a parking lot near Maples Pavilion.

The woman said she was walking through the lot about noon when a man got out of a car and pulled up his shorts to expose his penis. The woman went to Maples and called 911.

Stanford police Capt. Raoul Niemeyer said Royal Anthony Norman, 45, was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on charges of indecent exposure, being under the influence of heroin and being in possession of drug paraphernalia.

A collection of pornographic magazines was found in Norman's vehicle, Niemeyer said.

The suspect also was wanted on a $10,000 warrant from San Mateo County for being in violation of parole, Niemeyer said.
