Revised pay stubs to include additional information

STANFORD -- Beginning with the payroll dated Sunday, May 7, employees who make contributions to a Health Care or Dependent Care Spending Account -- or have "Choice Dollars" going into one or both of these accounts -- will find new information on the stubs of their paychecks.

Traditionally, pay stubs have included per-pay-period reductions or deductions information, including employee contributions to the tax-free Spending Accounts. As of May 7, paychecks will show cumulative information on Health Care and Dependent Care Spending Account contributions in the last column, "year to date."

Because there are two ways money can go into Spending Accounts (from individual employees or from unspent Choice Dollars provided by Stanford), pay stub information will have one data entry line for employee contributions for each account and one data entry line for Stanford Choice Dollar contributions for each account. These lines only will appear when contributions have been made.

For more information, contact the office of Total Compensation at 723-3377.
