School of Engineering honors staff service

STANFORD -- Staff members at the School of Engineering who have been with the department for more than five years were honored at a reception March 2. Fifteen staff members also received a special award for their efforts in various successful reorganization efforts undertaken by the school.

Engineering Dean Jim Gibbons and department chairs handed out service pins to about 50 staff members. Special recognition was given to those with 20 years or more on the job: Rene Cortinaz (20 years); Janis Dyche (20 years); Naomi Schulman (20 years); Paul Jerabek (25 years); Richard Van Patten (30 years); Vadim Matte (35 years); Bill Shoemaker (35 years); and Jerry Yarbrough (35 years).

Special recognition, accompanied by cash awards, was given to the following:
