CNN's Woodruff to moderate panel discussion on immigration policy

STANFORD -- "U.S. Immigration Policy: Perspectives on Women, Labor and Human Rights," will be the focus of a panel discussion to be held from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, in Cubberley Auditorium at the Stanford University School of Education.

Moderated by Judy Woodruff of CNN, the symposium will include among its panelists: Victoria Bradshaw, labor commissioner for the state of California; Jorge Bustamente, a sociologist specializing in Mexico-U.S. migration issues from El Colegio de la Frontera Norte in Tijuana; Emily Goldfarb, director of the Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights Services in San Francisco; and Bill Ong Hing, Stanford law professor and director of the Immigrant Legal Resource Center in San Francisco.

The event is free and open to the public. It is co-sponsored by the Center for Latin American Studies at Stanford and the International Women's Media Foundation of Arlington, Va.
