Annual health-safety meeting set for April 27

STANFORD -- Stanford University's Committee on Health and Safety will hold its annual public meeting from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Terman Auditorium, Terman Engineering Building.

The meeting will open with a presentation by Committee Chair Bill Brown, chair of Health Research and Policy at the Medical School, who will report on the committee's charge and its work to date. Thomas F. McBride, director of Environmental Health and Safety, will report on the overall status of health and safety programs at Stanford, and Matthew Allen, associate director for Environmental Safety and Health at Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, will report on programs at that facility.

Following the reports, there will be an opportunity for questions and comments from members of the audience. Written comments can also be submitted to the University Committee on Health and Safety, c/o ESF, Oak Road, Stanford, CA 94305-8007.
