Flu Shots Again Offered Free flu shots to protect against the most prevalent influenza infection will be available on a first-come, first- served basis to university faculty, staff and retirees at Cowell Student Health Center from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15. The Health Center has secured an additional 125 doses to address the increased demand for service. Shots also had been offered to the community before the holiday break. Immunizations cannot be given to people who have a cold or other infection or who are allergic to eggs. Each person receiving an immunization will be required to sign an informed consent that outlines possible risks from taking the vaccine, Cowell personnel said. Also, pregnant women must provide a doctor's note giving permission for the immunization. The center is located at 606 Campus Drive.
