Transit passes to be sold on campus

STANFORD -- Starting Dec. 26, monthly passes for regional transit agencies will be on sale at Stanford University's office of Transportation Programs.

The office, at 855 Serra St., will sell to employees monthly passes for CalTrain, Santa Clara County Transit, SamTrans, BART and the Dumbarton Express.

The price will be the same as if bought directly from the agencies, said Diego Terneus, program manager. However, everyone who buys a monthly pass on campus will be given one free one-day "C" parking permit, for use on a day when public transit is not feasible.

Also, Transportation Programs will be offering the free one-day parking stickers to members of vanpools and the East Bay Commute Club Bus.

Commuters can buy additional "C" permits at the cost of $1 per day, or "A" permits for $4 per day.
