Department of Energys Stanford Linear
Accelerator Center (SLAC) in Menlo Park, Calif., and
Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) in
Batavia, Ill., this week jointly announced the
launching of an e-mail news wire, HEP Interactions,
for communicating news from high-energy physics and
related fields. The free
service will function as a source of timely
information about high-energy physics, including
press releases and other news items from the
worlds high-energy physics laboratories.
Although SLAC and Fermilab are initiating the news
wire, it also will include news from other physics
labs, such as CERN in Switzerland, KEK in Japan and
DESY in Germany. A related website will archive all
stories. For more
information, or to receive this new electronic
subscriber news service, visit the website at:
http://www.interactions.org. The Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, a national laboratory in the U.S. Department of Energys Office of Science, is operated by Stanford University. Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory is operated under contract by Universities Research Association, Inc., for the U.S. Department of Energys Office of Science. -30- |
