Stanford students get an insider's view of the arts in New York City

A group of Stanford students recently got an insider's view of the cultural landscape of New York City, crossing Manhattan from Harlem to Broadway and beyond, through the annual "Arts Immersion" trip organized by the Stanford Arts Institute. Traveling with Faculty Director Stephen Hinton and Programming Director Sarah Curran for a weeklong engagement with the arts, the students met institutional leaders, policy makers and arts practitioners. Photographer Toni Gauthier, design director for the Stanford Arts Institute, went along to capture some of the excitement.
